Yaron Banai, born in 1955 and raised in Kibbutz Ein Hamifratz, and by 1979 has moved to Moshav Almagor, founded Meshek Banai in the 80’s, when he decided to plant his first Mango plantation.
The essence of the farm has always been mainly a small family business that started at first with an area of 6 Ha of agricultural land, as Yaron always knew he wanted to be a farmer. and nowadays the nursery spreads over 50 Ha of agricultural land as a result of the business growth.
Growing up since birth around the family farm, at the age of 10 Daniel Banai, Yaron’s son, already knew he wanted to continue his father’s business. But in order to make things professional, In 2015, Daniel graduated with honors in horticulture and also joined the operation of the farm.
Today, dividing the responsibility and roles around the nursery between Daniel, who is responsible for professional advice in all matters of agriculture and agronomy in general, the nursery management, marketing and transactions abroad, while Yaron, the head of the family – is in charge of the plantations, supports consulting, property procurement and is in charge of administration together with Yaara, the office manager.
